The integration of Ewon technology has brought significant benefits to Conceptromec’s industrial operations, especially in remote system management.
The Ewon Flexy 205's ability to enable remote diagnostics, which improves machine performance, is a major advantage for Conceptromec. For example, a CPS remote diagnostic solution based on Ewon increased the quality percentage of certain equipment from 65% to 85%, leading to substantial cost savings for clients.
While directly attributing sales growth to Ewon’s integration is challenging, the sense of security and reliability it offers to clients—particularly in high-stakes industries like automotive—has been invaluable.
One of the major benefits Conceptromec experienced by using Ewon technology is significantly reducing their support and commissioning costs for equipment sold across America and Europe. This reduction represents about 5% of the total cost of a piece of equipment. Additionally, it allowed them to keep their valuable resources at their offices so they can support ongoing projects at the plant.
“Ewon allowed us to resolve 90% of the service calls Conceptromec receives directly from our offices in Magog. Ewon has thus become a significant advantage for our after-sales service team and for our clients, who previously needed a laptop with programming software connected to their equipment. Our team could then connect via VPN to this laptop to provide remote support.”

In addition to using Ewon for remote support with our clients, Conceptromec developed the CPS application, a monitoring tool that tracks equipment production via a web platform displaying various metrics to give an overview of equipment status.
The core of this application is based on using the Ewon
Flexy 205, which relays information from the machine’s
PLC to data servers via MQTT. Using Ewon has led
Conceptromec to diversify the services offered through
the CPS application.
This application, partially developed on an Ewon Flexy module, provides a monitoring service to track the overall efficiency of machine in production. CPS quantifies key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Quality, Availability, and Performance.
After implementing this solution at a client’s site in America, Conceptromec managed to increase the quality percentage of equipment from 65% to 85%. This 20% increase represents significant savings for their clients.
In summary, Ewon technology has empowered companies to minimize downtime, increase operational efficiency, and offer more value to their customers.
Conceptromec is a leader in designing and manufacturing automative tools for the automative sealing sector. A major player in North America with a global reach, this Canadian company continues to expand with a customer-centric approach, and a collaborative mindset.
Its decision to integrate Ewon Flexy into its equipment reflects its
ongoing commitment to innovation and addressing the complex
challenges faced by its customers.
