What is Anybus CompactCom?

The goal of his course is to explain the concept of the Anybus Communication model. It clarifies the following question; How is it possible that a device which has Anybus CompactCom implemented can communicate with several different Industrial fieldbuses and Industrial Ethernet networks just by exchanging the Anybus CompactCom module, even though the fieldbuses and networks are so different in their way to communicate?

This course scratches a little on the surface of fieldbus specific things but does not dig too deep into details.
