New CompactCom versions for Transparent Ethernet: Modbus-TCP and PROFINET Fiber Optics

Anybus CompactCom 40 Ethernet products are available in a special version that includes a "Transparent Ethernet" interface

These have previously been available for PROFINET, EtherNet/IP and EtherCAT. HMS now also releases versions for Modbus-TCP and PROFINET Fiber Optics.

What is transparent Ethernet? 

Transparent Ethernet means that industrial Ethernet protocol data (for example PROFINET) is processed as usual by the CompactCom while all other Ethernet data passes straight through the module transparently — speeding up the network communication while allowing you to develop your own IT-functions.

There is no need for additional Ethernets port, all communication goes through Anybus CompactCom.
