Mitsubishi Electric Compatibilities

This document describes the different steps on checking the compatibility with Intesis AC Interfaces. 

 

APPLICABLE PRODUCTS 

  • Mitsubishi Electric & Universal AC Interfaces: (IN770AIR00SO000, IN770AIR00MO000, IN485MIT001I000, INWMPMIT001I000, INKNXMIT001I000, INKNXMIT001I100, INMBSMIT001I000, INWFIUNI001I000, IN485UNI001I100, INWMPUNI001I000, INKNXUNI001I000).

IN THIS ARTICLE 

There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.

The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector. For this solution we have Universal IR and AC Connector available.

 

One-to-One

These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).

 

Within this category there are 2 different types of Mitsubishi Electric gateways:

  • Universal IR.
  • AC Connector.

 

When checking a compatibility consider:

  • Supported: Splits, Cassettes, Ducted and families Mr. Slim & City Multi.
  • Not supported: Lossnay, Outdoor-Air Processing Units, Air to Water Booster Units, Air to Water HEX Units, Heat Pump and Outdoor Units.

  • If the Indoor Unit is compatible, the MELCloud Wi-Fi accessory we are compatible, but you cannot connect both at the same time.

  • Connectors CN51 + CN100 (with optional PAC-IT51AD-E adaptor).

  • Connectors CN52 + CN100 (with optional PAC-IT52AD-E adaptor).

  • Accessories: PAR-SA9FA-E, PAR-FA32MA, IR Kit receiver.

 

Universal IR

The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit

AC Connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit via a specific connector (CN92 or CN105) on the PCB.

 

 

Multi-Unit

These gateways are connected to the Central Controller via Ethernet providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use Intesis MAPS as Configuration Tool.

 

When checking a compatibility consider:

  • Indoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways..
  • Compatible with Central controllers: AG-150A, GB-50ADA or older, EB-50GU, AE-200, EW-50 or newer.

  • Not compatible with Central Controller without ethernet port.
