- Connect the Bolt to a computer for configuration
- Navigate to 192.168.0.99 to access the Bolt's configuration webpage
- If this IP is not accessible, use IPconfig to update the Bolt's IP to one that is
- Navigate to the WLAN Settings menu on the left
- Click Scan for Networks, then select the desired Wi-Fi network and enter the password
- Under Advanced Settings, change the Bridge Mode to "Layer 2 cloned MAC only"
- Check "Automatic configuration". Leave the cloned MAC address and IP address as they are

- Click Save and Reboot to apply these settings, then quickly connect the Ethernet cable to the Ewon's WAN port (lit with orange)
- With automatic configuration the Bolt will detect the MAC address of the device it's connected to automatically after booting. If the Bolt is not connected to the Ewon quickly enough it may be necessary to reboot it again.
Configuring the Ewon
- Click Wizards at the top right, then select the Internet wizard on the right
- Choose Ethernet for the interface
- Use DHCP or set a static IP depending on the requirements for the Wi-Fi network
- Complete the wizard and verify the connection is working

Troubleshooting
If the Internet test fails, there are a few possible explanations.
-
The Bolt did not connect to the Wi-Fi network
Check the status LED on the Bolt. If it's purple, it's still trying to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Try reconfiguring the Bolt but clicking Save and Reboot after choosing the Wi-Fi settings. After it reboots, make sure it's able to join the network successfully. If it can't it may be using the wrong password or not allowed to join due to the network's security settings.
-
The Bolt wasn't connected fast enough after rebooting
Reboot the Bolt while it's connected to the Ewon so it can get the MAC address and IP address automatically -
The network settings on the Ewon weren't right for the network
Verify that the network has a working DHCP server if DHCP was selected, or that the IP chosen for the Ewon is in the right range. Note that the LAN and WAN subnets on an Ewon cannot overlap, so whether DHCP or a static IP is used, the WAN IP must not be in the same subnet as the LAN.
