Notes of importing configuration file to ABC3xxx serial gateway

This article introduces how to import configuration file to ABC3xxx serial gateway and what things need to be noted.

The gateway of ABC3xxx with serial interface. 

PRE-REQUISITES

The ABC3xxx series serial gateway allows configuration files to be imported into each other even if the gateway model is different. For example, if the configuration file of ABC3013 (PROFINET ->serial) is imported into ABC3007 (EtherNet/IP ->serial), the serial communication configuration can be imported normally, while the upper network configuration (PROFINET \ EtherNet/IP...) will not be imported.

Import configuration file from different models of gateway

  • Enter "file&firmware "pages,import configuration to gateway as follow picture shown.
  • Click "Import" button.

  • When the imported gateway configuration file does not match the actual gateway model, a network mismatch prompt will appear. Click "continue Import" button to continue to import configuration file , and the communication configuration of the serial network will be imported. However, the upper network of the gateway, such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, etc., needs to be configured on the gateway configuration page.

Import configuration file from different models of gateway

  • Enter "file&firmware "pages,import configuration to gateway as follow picture shown.
  • Click "Import" button.
  • When the imported gateway configuration file matches the actual gateway model, click "Imported Settings" on the left to import the network communication parameters such as IP address and device name(PROFINET network) contained in the gateway configuration file, together with the serial side network configuration into the gateway. Click "Configured Settings" on the right to import only the serial side network related configurations in the gateway configuration file, while the upper side networks such as PROFINET and EtherNet/IP need to be configured on the gateway configuration page by themselves.
