This article describes what RAM and ROM resources are needed to be able to use the Host Application Example Mode for the CompactCom 40.

QUESTION

What RAM and ROM resources are needed to be able to use the Host Application Example Code.

 

ANSWER

It depends on the compiler and the target system, but as a guide line, a basic implementation of the example code may start at about 4kb of RAM and 15kb of ROM.

RAM consumption will mainly depend on the buffers required for messages, process data, and for SPI/UART  transfers.

ROM consumption will mainly depend on the number of included application objects, and the data they contain.
