QUESTION
I’m unable to use the Ethernet IP of my Micro 8xx Rockwell PLC to connect to my Flexy.
ANSWER
This is a normal behavior, as the Ethernet IP of the Micro 8xx series cannot be combined with the Flexy.
The MODBUS protocol must be set inside the PLC as well as the MODBUS IO server configured in the Flexy.
Hereunder is a screenshot of the Rockwell PLC configuration with the procedure to set up the MODBUS interface:
- Double-click on the Micro 8xx label.
- Select the Modbus Mapping.
- Associate a MODBUS address to the PLC parameters.
