Together with JMP, and in collaboration with Fanuc Robotics, HMS will showcase the latest in machine monitoring, remote access and wireless communication technologies in the HMS booth, number 133. Located just inside the main entrance to the show floor, the HMS booth will include a FANUC LR Mate Fenceless Robot Cell, demonstrating a ‘pick and place’ operation, common in sorting and packaging applications. Featured in the cell will also be an Allen-Bradley SafeZone Mini Safety Laser Scanner, which creates a safety perimeter around the robot cell. As an object approaches the robot, the laser scanner detects the proximity and slows the robot’s motion, and if the object enters the immediacy of the cell, all motion stops.
