Which CompactCom is best for you?
No two applications are exactly alike, and the Anybus CompactCom recognizes that. With three different form factors to choose from—each tailored for specific industrial needs—you’ll find the right fit for your device, whether you’re focused on speed to market, flexibility, performance, or cost efficiency. Let’s break down the options:
All-in-one module
Combines hardware, firmware, and network connectors, making it the best choice for fast time-to-market. Slides into a module slot allowing end-users to install it effortlessly. Designed to be swappable or installed late in the manufacturing process. Supports all major Fieldbus, Industrial Ethernet and IIoT networks with best-in-class cybersecurity options.
Pluggable brick
Hardware and firmware are included in a pluggable brick. An economical choice for higher volumes. Fully embedded into your device, it enables you to add specific connectors and comply with protection class requirements. Possible to swap or install late in the manufacturing process. Supports all major Fieldbus, Industrial Ethernet and IIoT networks with best-in-class cybersecurity options.
Soldered-on brick
A new addition to the proven CompactCom 40 series. Designed to be soldered onto a device and optimized for automated manufacturing—making it ideal for high-volume applications. The soldered-on design reduces costs, allows you to add specific connectors, and comply with protection class requirements. Compact and cost-effective, it is perfect for smaller, less expensive devices.
*Common Ethernet: Same unit supports PROFINET, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP, POWERLINK, EtherNet/IP, and BACnet network protocols.
**IIoT Secure: Designed for advanced cybersecurity, featuring hardware-accelerated encryption, password protection, and secure protocols such as WebDAV. This version also supports OPC UA and MQTT.
