CompactCom 40 products for Ethernet POWERLINK goes IIoT
Together with the other CompactCom 40 Ethernet modules, the CompactCom 40 concept now includes six different Ethernet networks with Anybus standard IT functionality supported.
The CompactCom handles the real-time communication between the device and POWERLINK as usual, but the IT functions also enable device manufacturers to:
VIEW LIVE DATA FROM APRODUCT IN A WEB INTERFACE
Give service staff web-based access to the status of your product via Anybus CompactCom’s built-in web server.
STAY INFORMED WITH EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS
Anybus CompactCom has a built-in email function that can send notifications, for example when it is time for service or when a certain number of units have been produced.
UPDATE REMOTELY VIA FTP
Allow your service staff or customers to update the CompactCom or the host device using the built-in FTP functionality in CompactCom.
ACCESS THE HOST DEVICE VIA A FILE SYSTEM
The CompactCom has an extended flash-based file system enabling firmware updates and more.
ACCESS VIA SOCKET INTERFACE
It also has a Transparent Socket Interface enabling custom protocols to be implemented over TCP/UDP.
The Anybus CompactCom supports both POWERLINK mode and "Basic Ethernet Mode" - Behavior like standard Ethernet when no POWERLINK traffic is active.
