This document describes the different steps on checking the compatibility with Intesis AC Interfaces.
Considerations before reviewing a compatibility.
There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.
The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector. For this solution we have Universal IR and RC Connector available.
One-to-One
These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).
Within this category there are 2 different types of LG gateways:
When checking a compatibility consider:
Not supported: EVO V and Air-to-Water (A2W) and Outdoor Units.
The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit
RC connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit using the Indoor Unit's remote control bus (RYB), which is the same bus used by the wired remote control of the Indoor Unit itself..
Multi-Unit
These gateways have direct access to the Outdoor Unit communication bus (PI485) providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use Intesis MAPS as Configuration Tool.
When checking a compatibility consider:
Compatible with VRF systems with outdoor units belonging to any of the following families: MULTI V PLUS II and onwards, MULTI V III and onwards, MULTI V IV PRO, MULTI V S, MULTI V SYNC II, MPS, MULTI V WATER II, MULTI V MINI, MULTI V PLUS, MULTI V SYNC, MULTI V SPACE, MULTI, SINGLE A, MULTI FDX, MULTI INVERTER, Therma V, ECO V.
