Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Compatibilities

This document describes the different steps on checking the compatibility with Intesis AC Interfaces. 

 

APPLICABLE PRODUCTS 

  • Mitsubishi Heavy Industries & Universal AC Interfaces: (INWFIMHI001I000, INWMPMHI001I000, INWFIMHI001R100, INBACMHI001R000, IN485MHI001R000, INWMPMHI001R000, INKNXMHI001R000, INMBSMHI001R000, IN776MHI00SO000. IN THIS ARTICLE

There are 2 main categories of gateways: One-to-One and Multi-Unit.

The One-to-One category is divided into 3 subcategories depending on the type of gateway: Universal IR, AC Connector and RC Connector.

 

One-to-One

These gateways communicate with a single Indoor Unit and offer individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.).

 

Within this category there are 3 different types of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateways:

  • Universal IR.
  • AC Connector.
  • RC Connector.

 

When checking a compatibility consider:

  • Supported: Cassettes, Duct, Floor standing units, Wall mount splits and families FD, HyperMulti (VRF) series and some RAC Units.
  • Not supported: Outdoor Units.

  • Not compatible remote controllers: KXE4-, KXE4A series (RC-E1),KXE4R-, KXE4BR-, KXE5R series (RC-E1R).

  • 2 Wires remote controller supported KXZ, KXE6 series: RC-E3, RC-E4, RC-E5, RC-EX1A, RC-EX3, RC-EX3A, RCH-E3.

  • Accessories: SC-BIKN2-E, SC-BIKN-E(A), IR Kit receiver.

 

Universal IR

The Universal IR communicates via the Infrared receiver of the Indoor Unit

AC Connector
These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit via a specific connector (CNS) on the PCB.
 

RC Connector

These gateways are connected to the Indoor Unit using the Indoor Unit's remote control bus (XY), which is the same bus used by the wired remote control of the Indoor Unit itself.

 

Multi-Unit

These gateways have direct access to the Outdoor Unit communication bus (Superlink) providing individual control points for the most relevant variables (on/off, setpoint, mode, fan speed, etc.) and signals from the Outdoor Units. These gateways use Intesis MAPS as Configuration Tool.

 

When checking a compatibility consider:

  • Indoor Units cannot be connected directly to the gateways.

  • Compatible with Outdoor Units of all VRF systems with Superlink II.
