How to install Tap adapter manually in Ecatcher v7.0.2 and higher

This article will help in regard to installing the TAP-Windows Adapter V9 manually with the newest Ecatcher v7.0.2 and higher using PowerShell. Indeed in some cases, the TAP adapter might not be installed properly during installation.

 

APPLICABLE PRODUCTS

Ecatcher

 

PRE-REQUISITES

Ecatcher v7.0.2, Windows with admin rights preferred.

 

IN THIS ARTICLE

The steps to do the process

  • Run the PowerShell in administrator mode
  • Browse the Talk2m PowerShell script files
  • Execute the script

 

Run the PowerShell in administrator mode

  1. Start a cmd in administrator mode

    Type "cmd" in the seach bar
    Right click and select "Run as administrator"



    Type "powershell in the cmd prompt

Execute the script

  1. Browse your Ecatcher tap folder by typing "cd  'C:\Program Files (x86)\ eCatcher-Talk2M\Talk2MVpnservice\drivers' "
  2. Write ".\install.ps1" and press enter and the Talk2m V9 adapter will be installed on your PC.  To remove it, just write ".\uninstall.ps1"
