PROFINET Troubleshooting & Maintenance

Classroom On-site
10 Dec 2024 - 10 Dec 2024
Breemes,  Belgium
A practical workshop covering PROFINET troubleshooting and maintenance.

Who should attend the course?

The PROFINET Troubleshooting and Maintenance course provides an intermediate level of training for technicians and engineers who are involved with commissioning, health checking, and fault finding on operational PROFINET systems.

The course also provides an essential pre-requisite to the more advanced Certified PROFINET Engineer Course.

We require attendees to be qualified up to Certified PROFINET Installer standard, however, don't worry if you are not qualified to this level: we always run the one-day installer course immediately before the troubleshooting & maintenance course so you can take both in the same week.

Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance from the PI organization on completion of this course.

What will I learn on the course?

This is a practical course based around a working PROFINET system. At the end of the course students should be able to formally audit a PROFINET network. The topics covered include:

  • Network configuration and the use of GSDML files
  • Set up of network devices
  • Qualification criteria for PROFINET networks
  • The use of conformance Class B switches and their importance to the ongoing support of a PROFINET Network
  • The use of PROFINET monitoring tools to audit a network
